Sam's new poem

poems in English
Here is the poem which Sam wrote me for my birthday this year.
I was away for a few days, enjoying the luxurious pampering at the spa my mom had sent me to (as an advance gift for my birthday), and during that time both my children came up with wonderful poems. Roussanne's is on this blog as well, but in the French section.

(untitled)

We are small,
Thus we seek the sky.
We shall fall,
Earth giving its last cry.
Do we abhor salvation ?
Our morrow, barren of destruction ?
Somber is thy Man’s fate ;
Ripples we create
On the water’s surface ;
Is evolution madness ?
No matter where the wind may blow,
The lifestream shall flow.

Infinite in mystery is existence ;
All that awaits us is penitence
If we continue not having
Dreams and honor, thus our land is sharing ;
The peace that abhors you and I dies,
Is shared by neither man nor town.
Each king bears a crown ;
Behold your « saviour », lord of the flies !
Even if our words are barren of promises,
Nothing shall forestall premices
Of all life falling
To bow to the ignorant King.

Happy Birthday Mom,
Love Sam

Wonderful, in my (motherly biased) opinion. What do you think?
